I have a master's degree in Finnish language and have worked as a native language teacher for a long time. I love the Finnish language and its diverse means of expression, and I like to work with all kinds of texts. I also write actively myself, so an author's point of view is also always with me. The Kalevala is also always with me. I am the vice chairman of the board of the Kalevala Women's Association.

My roots are in Kainuu and my home is in Kuhmo, but I have also set a fixed map marker in Järvenpää in Uusimaa.

New release! The book is a story about the transition years of the Finnish school world from the early 1990s to the first decade of the 21st century, the time before smartphones and digital textbooks.

Management by results and the efficiency requirements of business world were brought to schools, and consultants came to tell what should be taught and how. Students became self-directed customers, teachers became coaches who only provided stimuli, and principals became maintainers of the accelerating pace of change. The pace was set for frustration, career changes and burnout, as well as a decline in the level of requirements and competence.
